GEOTECHNICAL INSTRUMENTATION

SALAZAR FERRO INGENIEROS S.A. is a pioneer and leader in site instrumentation, both domestically and in several Latin American countries, with over fifteen years of experience in the field. It has state of the art technology and a team of highly qualified professionals for the design, installation, and control of instrumentation in every type of civil project such as dams, sanitary landfills, bridges, controlled caissons, roads, tunnels, and others.

Using vibrating thread instruments such as piezometers, inclinometers, load cells, pressure cells, and strain gauges, among others, the firm is able to control movements and deformations, as well as the pressure and charge of structural elements or of foundations of a project, of the neighboring constructions, and of the adjoining roads.

The firm has developed its own control equipment such as the hydrostatic level comparator and the control mechanism for the verticality of pre-excavated screens, both of which have been extremely useful for the control of the stability of various works. Furthermore, the information provided by these devices has served, in many cases, as a means of support and as a complement to the information provided by other instruments.

For the processing and presentation of all the instrumentation information, SALAZAR FERRO INGENIEROS S.A. has developed DINAMCAD 3DT, a graphic interphase in three dimensions and time, which allows the friendly visualization of the behavior and tendencies of the controlled events (movements, deformations, and settlement, among others).
