SLOPES-
A PROGRAM FOR THE CALCULATION OF SLOPE STABILITY

SLOPES
is a slope stability calculation program by means of
the slice method, using the Bishop and Jambú
methods for the calculation of the security factor.
SLOPES allows for the
simulation of problems concerning complex stratigraphies
and for the analysis of hundreds of thousands of fault
surfaces, in order to obtain a minimum security factor
or a parametric analysis of the security factor as a
function of the parameter of the grounds that compose
a cross-section.
On the other hand,
SLOPES permits the use of saturation lines or
of the Ru factor to examine the effect of porous pressure
on the analysis of the problem.
SLOPES
has been used in numerous projects, especially in sanitary
landfills where the characteristics of the materials
are extremely varied.
